Geologic Ruminations of the Lost Coast Hike
Geologic Ruminations of the Lost Coast Hike
The Lost Coast is an exciting geologic destination where the earth’s plates converge to create a dynamic landscape that is ever evolving.
On Saturday, July 8, Sanctuary Forest and Friends of the Lost Coast join forces to explore the geologic processes shaping the Lost Coast on this exciting Black Sands Beach hike with BLM Geologist, Sam Flanagan.
This is an easy to moderate hike with much of the hike along the soft sand.
We’ll meet 10am at the Black Sands Beach parking area, the hike is expected to end at 2pm.
Please bring a lunch and water, and dress in layers and sturdy shoes.
Space is limited and advance registration is required.
