Track and Sign Workshop and Certification

For people interested in local wildlife and being able to read the signs they leave behind, sign up now through the Natural History Museum (NHM) for a Track and Sign Certification workshop with professional tracker, Phil Johnston. This workshop will be from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat. Sept. 12th and Sun. Sept. 13th. Track and Sign Certification offers a unique experience for naturalists of all experience levels. Phil is a biologist for the CDFW and primarily conducts mountain lion research. He is very passionate about making wildlife tracking a more accessible skill to people from all walks of life. In the field, participants will develop their tracking skills by looking at all kinds of signs wildlife leaves behind. Space is limited to ten people. Cost $500 for the two day workshop. NHM members are $450 and there are partial scholarships available.
