Join us for a walking tour of Ferndale's Victorian Village and Historic Cemetery. A local guide will lead these tours offering you a unique journey into the past.
During each October weekend, five 1-hour walking tours are offered by the Ferndale Cemetery Association. Each tour begins at Ferndale's Visitor Center (580 Main St., Ferndale, CA 95536) and ends with complimentary appetizers at a local restaurant.

Join Friends of the Dunes for Nature Story Time at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center. Nature Story Time is geared for ages 3 to 6, and is held every Thursdays from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM starting October 2nd and ending on December 11th. Each week there is a short story, movement activity and art project for children and their caregivers to enjoy. Upcoming topics include owls, pollinators, and dune plants. Nature Story Time on October 9th and November 20th will be bilingual (Spanish). Open jam session at Froth every Sunday afternoon! Various instruments will be available to play: drums, guitar, bass and piano! We will have a mic and PA system available to use as well!
The Cher-Ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria and the Trinidad Civic Club are pleased to announce the formal Dedication of the Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse Monument on Sunday, October 12, 2025 beginning at 12:00 P.M. at the Trinidad Harbor. Please join us for this historic event. We recommend arrival at 11:30 A.M. to allow ample time for parking. As seating will be limited, it may be advisable to bring a comfortable chair and if weather is inclement, an umbrella. The effort to save the 1949 Memorial Lighthouse began in 2017 and will culminate with this Dedication in 2025, an endeavor of 8 years. Please join us to celebrate this momentous occasion.

In October, the Ferndale Museum is holding Candlelight & Ghost Stories, a family-friendly tour through the museum with each spooky stop featuring a ghostly visit from a spirit of Ferndale's past. There are no "jump-scares" in the tour. Come join us for some spooky fun!
