Come out to the Humboldt Dockside Market where you can buy fish directly from Humboldt based fishing vessels.

Our commercial fishermen will be taking over Madaket Plaza at the foot of C street, Old Town Eureka on scheduled Saturdays from 9am- 1pm June - November,

Come down, meet your fishermen, and learn about our fishing industry. Captains will be selling their fresh catch open air style. Buy a whole fish and have it filleted on site at our custom fillet station. Making fish stock or need fish waste for your garden?? Let our Market staff know and we will have it wrapped up for you at pick-up. Buckets and Ice chests are encouraged.

The Dockside Market accepts CalFresh/EBT.

The Arcata Plaza Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday, year round, offering the freshest produce, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, bread, flowers, and more! Enjoy music and hot food vendors at this fun, family friendly event. No pets are allowed, but trained, ADA certified, service animals are welcome. CalFresh EBT customers are able to receive a market match at every farmers’ market to help make fresh food more affordable. Visit the market info booth for more information.

In the Trinidad Town Hall Clubroom, the Civic Club's Unique Boutique will open Saturday, Aug. 30th, from 11 am - 8 pm during Art Night, offering jewelry, memorabilia, vintage items, and clothing, also featuring special items, such as a bronze elk sculpture, a brass telescope, a set of bronze flatware and other interesting pieces. The Boutique will also be open on Sunday, Aug 31st, 11 am to 3 pm. Join us at the last Boutique of the season to find unique treasures to support the Monument project!

Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) is sponsoring a free tour of the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary each Saturday. Meet leaders at 2 p.m. outside the Interpretive Center on South G Street for a 90-minute, rain-or-shine walk.

Let's Walk! Trinidad Arts Night returns for 2025!

This town-wide walk includes a variety of art exhibits, live music, artist receptions, face painting, fire spinning, skate ramps, pop-up sales, and oyster, cider, or wine tastings. You may start at the Trinidad Art Gallery, 490 Trinity St, wind your way through exhibits and more, including at Trinidad Museum, and finish up near Lighthouse Grill, 355 Main St., at the bandstand and hear popular dance bands. Some months finish up with a fire show afterwards.

Trinidad Art Gallery celebrates the new work of stained glass artist Colleen Clifford, jeweler Drew Forsell, and painter Leslie Mahon-Russo with an opening reception. Join us for a beautiful late summer evening in Trinidad, with snacks, wine pour benefitting Trinidad Coastal Land Trust, live music by members of Absynth Quartet, and an opportunity to meet many of the gallery's 25 local artists.

On Saturday night, August 30th, the Mattole Grange is hosting a dinner dance event, 6 to 11PM. Burgers, hotdogs, beer and wine available for purchase. Music performed by the Breakers, a fun rock and roll dance band. $10 at the door. The historic Mattole Grange Hall is located next to A. W. Way Park on the Mattole Road between Honeydew and Petrolia. Over-night camping is available at A. W. Way Park.

On Sunday afternoon, August 31st, there will be the 90th Anniversary Labor Day Beef and Bean BBQ event, starting at Noon sharp. Come on by and enjoy the famous locally sourced beef and beans served picnic style. Raffle, auctions, pie booth, kids games. Bring your own bowls, plates, silverware and side dishes.
