Thursday Night Talk: Housing in Humboldt

On the October 4th Thursday Night Talk, the question was raised, is Humboldt undergoing a, "housing crisis?" And if so, what can be done about it? Rob Holmlund, Director of Development Services at the City of Eureka, and David Loya, Director of Community Development for Arcata, joined host Tom Wheeler to talk about how Humboldt can build more housing.

Tom Wheeler is the Program Director and Staff Attorney at the Environmental Protection Information Center. Tom graduated from the University of Washington School of Law with a concentration in Environmental Law. When he’s not nerding out over the Endangered Species Act (his all-time favorite law), Tom is probably plunking the banjo, playing ping-pong with his wife, Jenna, or petting his cats, Fatty and Trim. Tom can be reached at tom@wildcalifornia.org.
Michael Roccaforte is a KHSU Operations Coordinator and hosts the World and All Things Considered. He started out as a KHSU Experience student in 2015. He then graduated from HSU in 2016 with a Journalism degree and is happy to be working in Humboldt County at KHSU since.
