Heard in Humboldt: Dirty Cello

This week we're doing something a little different — we’ll be hearing some music from Bay Area-based group Dirty Cello. And although the band has performed in Humboldt before, we don’t have any recordings from their Humboldt shows. The group reached out because they’re playing a show this Saturday, July 19 at the Eagle House in Eureka.

We’ll be hearing an interview with cellist and lead singer Rebecca Roundman and listen to an original song, “I’m Not Perfect, But I’m Pretty Damn Good” and a cover of the famous Charlie Daniels' tune, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

You can find more about the group at dirtycello.com Thank you to the artist for the interview and providing the recording. Thank you for listening to Heard in Humboldt on KHSU and tune in next time, as we explore more live music from behind the Redwood Curtain.

Raised in Arcata, Stephanie McGeary has lived in Humboldt County for most of her life and is proud to share stories about this weird and beautiful place that she calls home.
