Heard in Humboldt: Red Hot Shame

Today we’ll be hearing some music from local band Red Hot Shame. We’ll be hearing two Red Hot Shame tunes, “What’s Mine” and “Unscripted” — both recorded live at Sirens Song Tavern in Old Town Eureka on Dec 1, 2023 — and hear an interview with lead singer Xeff Scolari, who shared a bit about the band’s music, the interesting way they got started and why he hopes you’ll support Food For People and live, local music.

You can find more of the band's music on the Red Hot Shame website, on Soundcloud and other streaming platforms. You can catch Red Hot Shame, along with other local bands The Critics, Thundercloud and Widdershins, at the Shredding Hunger Food for People benefit show on Saturday Aug, 2 starting at 5 p.m.

Thanks so much to Jeff for the interview and providing the recordings. Thanks for listening to Heard in Humboldt on KHSU and tune in next time, as we explore more live music from behind the redwood curtain.

And if you’re a local musician who would like your live recordings featured on Heard in Humboldt, send us an email at khsu@humboldt.edu
