North Coast Conversations: Surfrider Humboldt

This week we are meeting with Jessie Misha, Chair of the Humboldt Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, who's going to tell us about some of the projects that Surfrider Humboldt is working on in the Samoa Peninsula.

Surfrider Humboldt has been active since 1984 and has worked tirelessly to protect our local beaches and oceans. Their efforts have helped curb toxins from polluting Humboldt Bay from industrial projects such as pulp mills and dredging, resulting in cleaner safer oceans for all.

Surfrider Humboldt is always looking for new members and donors to help support their various causes. To stay informed and to become more involved, follow them on Facebook or Instagram at Surfrider Humboldt or visit their website at www.humboldt.surfrider.org

Thank you for listening and stay tuned for more episodes of North Coast Conversations as we explore more of Surfrider Humboldt's projects!

Alejandro Zepeda has worked for KHSU since early 2020, providing news, PSA’s, and an interview show called North Coast Conversations to the station.
