North Coast Conversations: Margaret Kellerman of Hope Sack

Since 2023, Margaret Kellerman has handed out over 1200 Hope Sacks to locals in need.

Hope Sack was created after Kellerman realized that there was an unmet need for essentials such as toiletries, hygiene kits, and socks for unhoused individuals who are utilizing free meal programs.

She began by setting up a table nearby to the food distributions, and takes pride in the fact that she hands out each Hope Sack directly to individuals while also being able to connect with them, and learn about how she can improve or better meet their needs with the Hope Sacks.

Hope Sack is a sub-project of Brave Arts, which itself is a part of the Ink People.
