Nestled in the heart of McKinleyville on Hiller Road, the Sea Goat Farmstand is a self-described “urban microfarm,” operating a weekly farmstand, a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and a store that sells goods from local farmers and artisans. Recently, the Sea Goat team decided to expand its offerings by adding the Maker’s Space – an art and pottery studio and space for community classes and workshops.

This week we met with Megan Blumenstein, Sea Goat’s farm and program director, and Katie Mather, manager of the Maker’s Space, to learn more about their unique nonprofit organization, the new space they’re opening in Blue Lake and how you can use their services or get involved.

You can find more information on the Sea Goat Farmstand website and find a schedule of upcoming classes on the Maker’s Space calendar.

Thank you for listening and stay tuned for more episodes of North Coast Conversations as we explore more of what the North Coast has to offer.
