Talk Humboldt: Blake Alexandre Part II

"Literally, we've probably put a hundred tons of carbon per acre in the ground," says regenerative farmer Blake Alexandre. "Our ranch is getting taller every decade by an inch or so."

In the first partof this two-part interview, Alexandre discussed his journey from a one-room schoolhouse to helping to manage 4,000 acres of agricultural land.

In this second installment, Alexandre tells Dr. Jackson and Dr. Flamer about sequestering kilotons of carbon, how healthy soil affects his irrigation needs, and the joy of watching eagles steal his chickens.

Dr. Keith Snow-Flamer has been President of the College of the Redwoods since 2015. Dr. Snow-Flamer holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Gonzaga University.
Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr. is the President of Cal Poly Humboldt. A first-generation college graduate, Jackson is also a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard, Texas State Guard, and Indiana Guard Reserve. He holds an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne.
