Measure K Advocates Dispute 'Sanctuary Law' Costs

On Wednesday afternoon, a faithful coalition stood near the steps of the Humboldt County Courthouse to support, defend and define what it means to be part of a Sanctuary Initiative for all immigrants. The group of congregation leaders was then joined by Centro del Pueblo and other advocates for Measure K--the official Humboldt County Sanctuary Initiative.

The HSU Political Science Department is sponsoring a Voter Education Forum this Wednesday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in HSU's Founders Hall Room 118. Representatives from various political parties will answer questions on an array of issues related to the upcoming June primary and November general elections. HSU Politics Professor, Kevin Lyle Murray came by the KHSU Magazine to talk about the importance of civic engagement.
