Local college students are invited to visit the Natural History Museum for free for the month of September. The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Garberville Certified Farmers' Market offers the freshest fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, bread, flowers, crafts and more! Enjoy music and hot food vendors at this fun, family friendly event. No pets are allowed, but trained, ADA certified, service animals are welcome. DJ duplex Pandemonium Jones and Dacin spin 6 hours of eclectic vinyl selections to soundtrack dancing, drinking, and dining during and after Arcata's Friday Night Market. Food With Hoy serves up delectables including 2 for $20 special on his famous OG Smash Burgers. All ages, no cover.

Redwood Region Audubon Society will be offering a free public field trip at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary.

Bring your binoculars and enjoy the incredible views of Humboldt Bay, easy-to-walk trails, and a great diversity of birdlife!

Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) is sponsoring a free tour of the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary each Saturday. Meet leaders at 2 p.m. outside the Interpretive Center on South G Street for a 90-minute, rain-or-shine walk.

On Saturday night, September 5th, the Mattole Grange is hosting a speghetti dinner and square dance fundraiser, from 5 to 9 PM, $10 per person cover charge, couples $15, under 16 free. Food, beer, and wine available for purchase. Dance music performed by Paul Sheldon and friends, plus Loose Gravel West, a local dance band. The historic Mattole Grange Hall is located next to A. W. Way Park on the Mattole Road between Honeydew and Petrolia. Over-night camping is available at A. W. Way Park.

If you visit Eureka during Arts Alive, you should have an easy time counting them as well as their admirers. Free entertainment at many venues.
