Enjoy a dragon dance and parade, embody Zodiac animals, try tai chi moves, explore chopsticks, and hear the tale of the Nian Monster. A playful, cultural journey for kids and families to explore Chinese heritage together.Kaeshi Chai is a bi-coastal dancer, choreographer, and educator of Chinese heritage. She has performed worldwide and co-founded projects that combine art, culture, and healing. CLASS SERIES ABOUT MENTAL ILLNESS OFFERED FOR FAMILIES
Sign up now for NAMI Humboldt’s (National Alliance on Mental Illness) free, 8 session course in Eureka for family members and others who have loved ones living with a mental illness. The weekly class, which has been offered locally for over 20 years and has served hundreds of people, teaches family members how to understand mental illness and how to support their loved ones while maintaining their own well-being. This evidence based program is called Family to Family and is offered nationally by trained volunteers who themselves have loved ones experiencing mental health challenges. The series offers: information, self-care, communication skills and emotional support.
There is no cost for the classes or materials, though a commitment to the complete class series (8) is appreciated. Teachers are specially trained volunteers who also have loved ones living with serious mental health issues.

Join us for our 20th anniversary of food, fun, fundraising, and trivia at the Eureka Women's Club on May 8, 2025 from 6-9 PM. Doors open at 5:00 PM, Food service starts at 5:30 PM, trivia starts at 6:00 PM. A no host bar with beer, cider and nonalcoholic beverages will be on-site.
