Coastal Wildflower ID Hike

Coastal Wildflower ID Hike

Join Sanctuary Forest for our first hike of the season, in partnership with Friends of the Lost Coast – Coastal Wildflower ID in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park! Join hike leader Cheryl Lisin as we walk from the Jones Beach trailhead to Whale Gulch Creek and learn about a variety of native plants including coastal succulents and riparian plants, and flowers like purple bush lupine, Indian pink (Silene californica) and more. This is a 4.5-mile round-trip hike that does include some steep sections. We are excited to announce that Erika Granadino will be acting as a Spanish-language interpreter for this event! Please meet at the Jones Beach trailhead at 10am. Carpooling is an option—please RSVP to sign up. For those driving, please bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The hike will end at the Jones Beach trailhead at approximately 2pm. Please bring a lunch and water, sun/wind protection and sturdy shoes. This hike is free, but donations are gladly accepted and make it possible for these organizations to offer this program year after year. Contact anna@sanctuaryforest.org or call 707-986-1087 x 9# to RSVP. Para una descripción en español de este evento, por favor visite https://bit.ly/wildflowerID.
