Step into a world of heart-pounding excitement as you dare to journey through not one, not two, but THREE haunted mazes that will test the limits of your courage and send shivers down your spine. Enjoy roaming haunters, food trucks, Frightdale's Symphony of Lights, Marie Lavous Voodoo lounge, or Upgrade to RIP for exclusive access to The ORIGINAL Phantom Tides Haunted Tiki Lounge.

Join us for a walking tour of Ferndale's Victorian Village and Historic Cemetery. A local guide will lead these tours offering you a unique journey into the past.

During each October weekend, five 1-hour walking tours are offered by the Ferndale Cemetery Association. Each tour begins at Ferndale's Visitor Center (580 Main St., Ferndale, CA 95536) and ends with complimentary appetizers at a local restaurant.

Advanced reservations are required.

Redwood Region Audubon Society will offer a free guided birding tour along the Eureka Waterfront Trail on Sundays with leader Ralph Bucher. This relatively urban trail offers the potential to observe species abundance and diversity compared to many more remote locations. This walk is on a flat, paved trail that is wheelchair accessible. Step right into the magic of autumn at our Family-Friendly Fall Festival—where every corner is packed with fun for all ages! Stroll through the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect jack-o’-lantern, let the kids giggle their way through the mini-maze, and rock out to live music while grabbing a tasty bite from local food trucks.
For those who love a little spooky without the scares, our haunted houses deliver thrills with no jump-scares, perfect for the whole family. And don’t miss the gooey, giggly fun at Ella’s Slime Shack! Top it all off with a cozy theater show that’ll leave you smiling.

Open jam session at Froth every Sunday afternoon! Various instruments will be available to play: drums, guitar, bass and piano! We will have a mic and PA system available to use as well!

Art and nature exploration activities for all ages and abilities. We'll supply materials, artists and naturalists. Rain or shine. Please call to confirm.

Join other nature lovers in the progress on this small community driven botanical garden which features native species. Contribute as you are able to the creation of habitat for the local bees, birds, butterflies and other little creatures. Take home some cuttings/seeds.
Bring a bucket and garden tool, or just your enthusiasm!

Directions: Go west on Hiller Road to the parking lot for Hammond Trail/Soccer Field/Dog Park. Garden is adjacent to playground.

Happening every third Sunday at Om Shala Yoga Studio in Arcata. Hands-on healers offer Reiki, tuning fork therapy, and aromatherapy, enhancing the journey with nurturing touch and subtle frequencies. Each gathering also includes a deeply restful yoga nidra meditation, soul-stirring vocalists, and special guest musicians.

While some props are available, you're welcome to bring your own pillows, mats, and blankets to create your perfect “rest nest.”

In October, the Ferndale Museum is holding Candlelight & Ghost Stories, a family-friendly tour through the museum with each spooky stop featuring a ghostly visit from a spirit of Ferndale's past. There are no "jump-scares" in the tour. Come join us for some spooky fun!
