On Saturday night, September 5th, the Mattole Grange is hosting a speghetti dinner and square dance fundraiser, from 5 to 9 PM, $10 per person cover charge, couples $15, under 16 free. Food, beer, and wine available for purchase. Dance music performed by Paul Sheldon and friends, plus Loose Gravel West, a local dance band. The historic Mattole Grange Hall is located next to A. W. Way Park on the Mattole Road between Honeydew and Petrolia. Over-night camping is available at A. W. Way Park.

Enjoy some of Humboldt’s finest food and improvisational jazz on the beautiful Larrupin' Cafe patio & garden every Wednesday evening all summer long. The music of Humboldt County's own Dogbone is a category-defying amalgam of influences and originality — Dogbone calls it "Feral Jazz." The band is led by local artist/sculptor John King.

Humboldt Botanical Garden hosts its annual Gala for the Garden on Saturday, September 12th. This festive event features music by Young & Lovely, a catered luncheon, silent auction, and the opportunity to view plein air artists at work. The Gala is a 21 and over event.
