Redwood Region Audubon Society will offer a free guided birding tour along the Eureka Waterfront Trail on Sundays with leader Ralph Bucher. This relatively urban trail offers the potential to observe species abundance and diversity compared to many more remote locations. This walk is on a flat, paved trail that is wheelchair accessible. Open jam session at Froth every Sunday afternoon! Various instruments will be available to play: drums, guitar, bass and piano! We will have a mic and PA system available to use as well!
All community members are invited to learn Brazilian drumming and participate in the 39th annual Samba Parade! Never drummed or performed before? No problem! We will build your skills and confidence! Not sure about performing but still interested? Come take the classes. Performance is not mandatory. Drums provided, $15-$20/Class or $135/Session, Scholarships and Available (no one will be turned away for lack of funds). Let’s make this the best parade season yet!

Concerts are a wonderful opportunity to experience the Garden in a new way. Bring your family, a picnic lunch and lounge on the lawn and take in the sounds of local bands before touring the Garden or the Butterfly House. Enjoy a wide variety of musical styles—from Latin and soul to jazz, pop, funk, rock, reggae, and more. Local wine, beer, or non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. Light refreshments and snacks are also offered. Garden opens at 10am, the music begins at 1pm. NO dogs please.

Workday Schedule: First Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. and Third Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Ends on October 19, 2025. Rain cancels.Join other nature lovers in the progress on this small community driven botanical garden which features native species. Contribute as you are able to the creation of habitat for the local bees, birds, butterflies and other little creatures. Take home some cuttings/seeds.Bring a bucket and garden tool, or just your enthusiasm!
Directions: Go west on Hiller Road to the parking lot for Hammond Trail/Soccer Field/Dog Park. Garden is adjacent to playground.
You are invited to join All Seasons Orchestra for a summer concert on July 20th at 2pm at the Arcata D Street Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street, Arcata. Parking and admission are free. The performance is presented by Musical Director/Conductor, Garrick Woods, professor of music at Cal Poly Humboldt, and Concertmaster Holly MacDonell.
Selections include An American Rhapsody by Richard Meyer, The Music Man by Meredith Willson (symphonic impressions arranged by Richard Hayman), Duke Ellington! A Medley for Orchestra arranged by Calvin Custer, Highlights from WICKED by Stephen Schwartz, arranged by Ted Ricketts. Also, the Suite from The Star Wars Epic - Parts I & II by John Williams, arranged by Robert W. Smith, the Turkish March from “The Ruins of Athens” by Ludwig Van Beethoven, edited by Steven L. Rosenhaus, and March to the Scaffold from Symphonie Fantastique Op. 14 by Hector Berlioz.
Community and student musicians of all ages are invited to join All Seasons Orchestra. Auditions are not required. Regular rehearsals are from 10 am to noon at the Eureka Woman’s Club, 1531 J St., Eureka. For prospective student members, our Fall 2025 schedule aligns with Cal Poly Humboldt's Fall semester. Also, in the upcoming Fall 2025 semester, student musicians are offered a chance to play in the Cal Poly Humboldt Symphony. Students can enroll in the class: MUS 1060/4060. An informal audition is required for class enrollment. Cal Poly Humboldt musicians who enroll in these two classes automatically become members of All Seasons Orchestra. Happening every third Sunday at Om Shala Yoga Studio in Arcata. Hands-on healers offer Reiki, tuning fork therapy, and aromatherapy, enhancing the journey with nurturing touch and subtle frequencies. Each gathering also includes a deeply restful yoga nidra meditation, soul-stirring vocalists, and special guest musicians.
While some props are available, you're welcome to bring your own pillows, mats, and blankets to create your perfect “rest nest.”
