Looking to boost your public speaking skills? Join us at the Lunch Bunch Toastmasters Club! We're one of the smallest Toastmasters clubs, and the only one left in Humboldt County. We're trying to keep the flame alive and new participants make meetings much more interesting.
Our group meets in person, perfect for anyone wanting to improve their off the cuff and rehearsed speaking skills in front of an attentive & friendly audience. Our supportive environment welcomes all skill levels. Each meeting features prepared speeches, impromptu speaking, and constructive feedback. This setting helps build confidence and connect with a community dedicated to personal growth and development. Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 12-1 PM in the conference room of the ADORNI Center in Eureka.Come as a guest and see if it’s the right place for you!

River Night brings together people of all ages who love and protect Humboldt County's six living rivers.
The night includes:- Films from Freshwater Illustrated- Dinner & drinks- Speakers Danielle Frank (Paddle Tribal Waters) and legendary local paddler and guide, Billie Prosser- A raffle with local treasures, vacations, and a SOTAR raft
***This event is a fundraiser for the Redwood Rafters, a competitive youth whitewater rafting team of 16 kids, ages 11–17, from right here in Humboldt County. They train year-round on local rivers, have won silver and gold at US Rafting Nationals, and this April, the U19 Women's Team will represent the United States at the Junior World Rafting Championship in Pau, France. There is no other program in the country training and supporting this many youth in competitive whitewater rafting.
River Night is how we keep them racing. We hope to see you there!
For this month's Science on Tap, we are honored to spotlight the Eel River Dam Removals! Join us for an evening exploring the tribal history of the Upper Eel River, post-dam flow management, and the urgency of these dam removals.

The Arcata Arts Institute presents THE HELLO GIRLS, the true story of the first women’s Army Signal Corps, the female switchboard operators of World War I (WWI), whose contributions to the nation went unnoticed for years.
THE HELLO GIRLS is directed by Melanie Zapper with vocal direction by Jo Kuzelka, Music and Lyrics by Peter Mills, Book by Peter Mills and Cara Reichel. Tickets can be purchased in advance at https://arcataartsinstitute.ludus.com, or in person while in supply.
Join us opening night on Thursday, March 26th, at 7:00 p.m. for discounted tickets – $10 for general admission and $8 student/senior admission. Tickets for all following shows are $15 general admission and $12 students/seniors.
Shows are on March 27th, April 2nd, and April 3rd, at 7:00 p.m., doors opening at 6:30 p.m. with a matinee on March 29th at 2:00 p.m., doors at 1:30 p.m.

Redwood Region Audubon Society will be offering a free public field trip at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Brawl is a 20 hr. two day Board Game PLAYING event held in Fortuna, CA. It runs 10am to 10pm 3/28-3/29.
Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) is sponsoring a free tour of the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary each Saturday. Meet leaders at 2 p.m. outside the Interpretive Center on South G Street for a 90-minute, rain-or-shine walk.
A festival to celebrate Palestinian culture and resilience. Art for children, Palestinian embroidery for crafters, food for sustenance, music and dance. All ages welcome. Several "stations" with various activities, including rolling your own stuffed grape leaves, "warak dawali" in Palestinian.
