
Carlina Grillo
Carlina Grillo graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in PR journalism and a minor in forestry. During her time in Humboldt she served as an editor for multiple school publications, a PR intern for Humboldt Hot Air (KHHA) and station manager for the student-run radio station, KRFH. She focuses on local news and is passionate about storytelling that brings the community together. Carlina worked for KHSU from 2023 until May 2025.

Cal Poly Humboldt’s student run radio station, 105.1 KRFH, hosted their first-ever 48 hour live radio show extravaganza. Prior to this achievement, KRFH has hosted biannual 24 Hour ‘DJ Zone’s since Fall 2022. This semester they decided to take it up a notch.
